What the published research says
DSIP (delta sleep-inducing peptide) is a nonapeptide first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood by Schoenenberger and Monnier in 1977, named for the slow-wave EEG pattern it produced in the original experiments.
The literature is mostly from the 1970s to 1990s. Animal work reported effects on sleep architecture, stress hormone release and pain thresholds, and small human studies from that period examined sleep in insomnia and withdrawal states with mixed results (for example Schneider-Helmert's work in the 1980s). The peptide's mechanism was never fully resolved and no receptor has been identified.
DSIP is an older research compound with a dated and inconsistent evidence base. It is included in the range because it remains widely studied in the sleep peptide literature, not because the human data are strong.
Research profile
The research profile card in the image gallery scores five areas of the published literature out of five (tissue repair, recovery and sleep, growth and muscle, fat loss and metabolic, cognition and longevity). It reflects where the studies have concentrated, not a claim about effects. DSIP sits in the Cognitive & Sleep category of the Origin Peptides range, which is colour coded on the vial band and the card.
Handling and storage
Vials are shipped lyophilised and should go into a -20C freezer on arrival, protected from light. Lyophilised peptide is stable for months when kept cold, dry and sealed; once a vial is opened or reconstituted it should be handled according to your laboratory's protocols. Bacteriostatic water, syringes and other lab supplies are sold separately. No reconstitution or usage guidance is given on this site.
Quality and batch testing
Origin Peptides is the SARMs Store research peptide range, supplied from 2026 alongside the Dexterz Labs compounds we have sold since 2020. Every vial and bottle carries a batch number and every batch is tested by an independent laboratory (identity by HPLC or LC-MS, stated purity). The certificate of analysis is published on the Lab Testing page and can be matched to the number on your vial. Quote the batch number to live chat or the contact form if you need the report for your research records.
Frequently asked questions
Is it legal to buy in the UK? Research peptides of this kind are not controlled substances under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, so buying and holding the material for laboratory research is lawful. Selling or advertising it for human use would make it an unlicensed medicine under MHRA rules, which is why this listing carries no usage guidance and every item is labelled research use only.
Is the vial reconstituted? No. Every Origin Peptides vial is supplied as lyophilised powder with the stated milligram content, which is the standard format for research peptides because it is more stable than solution. Reconstitution is a laboratory step and is not described here.
How is it shipped? Orders placed before the daily cut off are despatched the same working day by tracked delivery, usually arriving within two to three working days for UK addresses, with a next day upgrade available at checkout. Parcels are plain and unbranded. Vials travel lyophilised, which tolerates transit at ambient temperature; refrigerate or freeze on arrival.
Are these compounds prohibited in sport? Most peptides in this range are prohibited by WADA, either under S0 (non-approved substances) or S2 (peptide hormones and growth factors). Anyone subject to anti-doping rules should treat the whole category as prohibited.
Research use only. This product is supplied strictly for laboratory and research purposes and is not for human or veterinary use. It is not a medicine, not a food supplement and not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Sold to persons aged 18 or over only.
